This study aims to analyze the urgency of local governments cracking down on illegal parking attendants as a means of maintaining public order, protecting the community, and increasing local revenue. The widespread phenomenon of illegal parking attendants in public spaces raises various issues, such as illegal fees, disruption of traffic order, and weak local government oversight of parking management. This study employs a qualitative approach using a normative method. Data collection involved a documentary review of relevant laws, regulations, and local policies regarding the practice of illegal parking attendants. The findings indicate that the presence of illegal parking attendants is influenced by weak oversight and the suboptimal enforcement of local regulations. This study contributes to the understanding of the importance of strengthening regulations, oversight, and law enforcement in local parking management. The study’s conclusion emphasizes that regulating illegal parking attendants is a strategic step toward achieving orderly, transparent, and equitable parking governance. Further research is recommended to examine the effectiveness of digital-based parking management policies in supporting local government oversight.
